Hi,

I am looking for a tool to make I/O distribution in a PLC of around 1000 I/Os. I have a lot of redundant signals (2oo3, 2oo2) and I have to make a consistent distribution in the modules and racks considering some criteria: different channels of redundant signals in different racks, etc. Normally I have done this manually but I wonder if there is a tool to do this much faster and without mistakes.

Builders from manufacturers, like TIA portal from Siemens or IAB from Rockwell, are of course very product oriented, they are a great help to select the right hardware, as far as I know they are not able to distribute redundant I/Os.

Anybody knows if a tool like this is available?

I try to install and use USB adapter part number 6ES7972-0CB20-0XA0   2 times
one on windows XP Simatic V5.5 the cable seen as Simatic device
on device manger (without problem) but didn't appear in Simatic manger in set PC/PG interface
other time on windows XP Simatic V5.3
same as above + in device manger it give error the device can't start
please find the attached files for pictures

I need your support please advice what I do ?

what is the difference between this cable and other USB adapter but more expensive ?

Good morning all,

I have been tasked with translating an old s5 to something more modern i have only a printed version of the program in STL and ladder but i have a section of STL which has no ladder equivalent and not sure how it should be drawn.

The STL looks like this as one segment

:A I0.5

:AN F1.6

:= F1.7

:A  I0.5

:= F1.6

So i have AND I0.5 ANDNOT F1.6 to coil F1.7

then AND I0.5 to coil F1.6

is this just drawn as two separate lines?

Sorry if this is a simple question just not programmed with siemens before

Our VCB  Generator Breaker Panel for our generator have the GPC- DEIF(Paralleling controller), PLC SIEMENS S7300, and SCADA WINCC. The problem was that the runtime counter have reached its maximum limit at 32,000 hours where it seems that it overflow from the maximum limit configuration of our GPC-  DEIF which is only configured at 20,000 hours max limit only as per its MANUAL. FIrstly I wanna ask if the runtime  counter is really dependent with GPC-DEIF, or it is programmed at PLC or SCADA WINCC, Secondly, Where can we reconfigure the runtime counter maximum limit, is it at GPC-DEIF or PLC or SACADA WINCC,,, please help us, thanks!!!

Hi all,

I would like to monitor the status of my alarm word (MW100) and if any bit turns from 0 to 1 then an alarm signal should be generated, am new to siemens plc and am having a tough time accomplishing this easily. In omrom CX programmer its quite easy to do. Could anyone help me on this using ladder logic, all help will be deeply appreciated.

I am trying to set up an EZmarqee with a Siemens ET200sp CPU, CM profibus and TIA v13.

Using the DPWR communication block, it has an error of 8090.

The hardware identifier is correct. I am trying to send simple integers for now,

But would like to send ascii strings to display machine status.

Is there a better way of doing this? Profinet? S7-300? Examples would be great!

Dear All

 

I am new user of Siemens and i need to communicate and calibrate the load cell with S7-1500 PLC

Details are

PLC-   CPU 1518F-4 PN/DP With simatic  ET200SP

Weighing module - WP321 MLF number - 7MH4138-6AA00-0BA0

Load cell capacity - 150 kg to 1000kg

 

If anyone can give me sample program then it is very helpful to me.

Software version: TIA Portal V13 SP1 Update 5

PLC: S7-1515

Currently monitoring two Double words within seperate DB's to trigger an an output. On compilation I get the error "The address is not occupied by a tag"

The code works, and downloads fine. My OCD isn't liking the fact I've got errors though. Is there another way of doing this that won't cause the error?

(Please ignore the glaring spelling error haha)

Say I have an array of strings and a string I want to find in said array.  Is there a way to return the index of the string that matches the string I am searching for?

Array = [DOG],[CAT],[MOUSE],[HORSE],[WOMBAT]

Search string = MOUSE

Find "MOUSE" in Array = 2

Hi all,

              we have simatic rack pc, the given below specification.

MODEL: SIAMTIC IPC 547C

ORTER NO: 6AG4104-1CB12-0EX0

SERIAL NO: SVPC1850584

WINDOW USED : WINDOW 7 ULTIMATE

My doubt

1. if it's possible to install Microsoft office like that ( excel,word,power point)

2. and also PDF995 printer driver possible to install.

When I try to install the PDF995 in SIMATIC PC  that time one message pop uped. THE HANDLE IS INVALID.

That same PDF995 install in NORMAL USING PC that setup.exe file open and ready for installation.

My question is

     Why that alarm pop uped in SIMATIC PC.

What do to to install the PDF PRINTER DRIVE install in my SIMATIC PC.

  For better understanding here I attached the file regarding my issue.

Hello, 

I created a analog scaling block for my pt100 temperatur. 

Fc135 i think the block name is, i saved it and downloaded it. The next time i should open the block it says: the block is protected, so i cant open it. I havet give it a password why is it protected? How do i open it?

Hi, its my first post here on this forum.

I use a TP 900 Comfort screen and it's programmed in tia 13, but unfortunately my plc is programmed in step 7

I use an event click "CopyLog" thats copy my log to a usb, and it works perfect.

The question is how do i get a confirmation that it has been sent to my usb, so i can get lamp to lit or so i can connect it to something visual.

Because the operator want to know that it has been saved. For the moment i have just changed to focus color to be real bright for the visual part.

Hi All,

Now i'm working with communicating S7 1500 with Altivar 630. I want to use MC Block in TIA Portal to control this VFD. With Siemens VFD, this is fine but with Altivar, I cant do it.

Can Anyone help me about this?
